Breaking news.

We have been informed of the identity of a new breed of super-villian. His name is Ideaman. Often known as Project Officer or Staff Officer, especially in the armed forces, his capacity to make others do work is unparalled. Armed and dangerous with a bow and a quiver full of arrows, his favourite phrase starts off "Hey, I have an Idea. Why don't we do....." which immediately triggers off a slew of arrows aimed at helpless underlings who have no recourse but to do his bidding.

This evil being is known to possess various managerial powers, such as delegation, creating needless work and calling 4-hour meetings. Range and scope of his powers differ with the rank of the being he inhabits. Lowly "|", for example, are the smallest form of body he will be found in, and thus have the weakest powers. However, with experience and longevity, the "OOO" variant as well as the "***" variant are known to have powers to command the work of even other Ideamen.

There is no proven way to defeat this criminal, although many have tried. Tactics used vary from acquiescence followed by negligence to deflection to non-confrontation. At various levels, these methods might work, but each Ideaman has his own weakness, and needs to be confronted in a unique way.

Should you find yourself in the vicinity of an Ideaman, it is probably best to walk away quickly and hope that your presence went unnoticed. Bold confrontation, risky at best, is not advised. A suggested tactic, once cornered by an Ideaman, is to draw another, more powerful, Ideaman's attention and focus it on the first, weaker, Ideaman, and make a quick exit.
